2019

The Golden Owl honours lecturers who have provided exceptional teaching and motivates them to continue with their excellent teaching. The Owl is awarded by the VSETH, ETH Zurich’s students association, who are also the initiators of the award.

This year the whole Macromolecular Engineerling Lab team participated in the Materials and Processes Graduate Symposium both as organisers and presenters of talks and posters.

On Friday, 21 June 2019 almost 100 girls attended the "Kangaroo goes Science" event organized by ETH, the Association Kangaroo Switzerland, and the Zurich chapter of 500 Women Scientists. The girls were given a tour of the Macromolecular Engineering Lab and performed some scientific experiments.

Elia Guzzi was awarded the Best Poster Award at the Biofabrication & Biomanufacturing Conference Europe 2019. He presented his work on "Universal Nano-carrier Ink for Biomaterials Additive Manufacturing."  

Prof. Mark Tibbitt was recently profiled by German magazine JWD, as part of their “Mann von Welt” series.
