The Group
We are the Macromolecular Engineering Laboratory at ETH Zürich. Our research focuses on the engineering of soft materials and devices for biomedical and industrial applications. We are driven to deepen our fundamental understanding of science and engineering to produce
tangible technologies with clinical and societal impact.
The research in our lab is highly multidisciplinary, as our group members come from diverse backgrounds ranging from engineering to biology. Current interests of the lab include the design of biomaterial scaffolds with controlled biochemical and mechanical properties for 3D cell culture, fundamental understanding of dynamic polymer network mechanics, device engineering for improved organ repair, and engineered living materials for CO2 sequestration.
