Stéphane Bernhard

Stéphane Bernhard studied Chemistry at EPFL, where he received his bachelor (2017) and master degrees (2019). The last year of his bachelor was performed at Imperial College London. His Master thesis project was performed in the group of Holger Frauenrath at EPFL. The Master thesis project focussed on implementing the use of poly(lactic acid) telechelics with hydrogen bonded end groups and a matching additive as a novel concept to improve thermomechanical behaviour of biodegradable plastics. In October 2019, Stéphane started his Ph.D. in the Laboratory of Macromolecular Engineering at ETH Zürich and he is currently working on the development and detailed characterization of polymer-nanoparticle hydrogel.
