Lorenza Garau Paganella was born in Trieste, Italy, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering (2018). She then moved to ETH Zurich to pursue her Master’s Degree in Process Engineering, with a focus on the biomedical field. Her Master’s thesis was conducted at the Macromolecular Engineering Lab (ETH), under Prof. Mark W.Tibbitt, where she worked on the development of a local drug delivery system to eliminate senescent cells in cardiovascular diseases. Lorenza started her Ph.D in 2020, between the group of Experimental Continuum Mechanics (ETH) and the Macromolecular Engineering lab (ETH), where she will work on the development of 3D culture systems for dermal fibroblasts, allowing to investigate and modulate how different physical and chemical stimuli affect cell response.
